The new-look Golden State Warriors took the court at Oracle Arena for the first time this preseason, tearing apart the Los Angeles Clippers 120-75 – taking their preseason record to 1-1.

Kevin Durant has slotted in without a hiccup. More than managing to keep up with the frantic pace the Warriors play with; most likely thanks to the passion and intensity of Thunder-basketball.

Durant had a solid contribution with 21 points on 6-of-10 FG (3-of-4 from downtown), 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks.

Steve Kerr was recently a guest on Zach Lowe’s podcast, ‘The Lowe Post Show‘. (Zach is without a doubt the best NBA writer, possibly even the greatest sports journalist on the planet). Kerr outlined how Durant’s already strong bond with the current Warriors core was vital in signing the superstar. Yes, we only two preseason games into era of this Warrior-monster, but it’s quite scary how comfortable Durant already looks. Check out the -0:20 mark of the video above, he’s already got the ‘walk-back’ down pat after dishing to an open Steph Curry on the three-point line.

Opposition teams, coaches, front office staff and fans have once again collectively shat themselves for the first time since Durant made his decision.
