Miami superstar Dwyane Wade has a history of draining incredible buzzer-beating half court shot, and the 33-year-old added another to his highlights reel by finishing the first half in style in the Heat’s defeat of Minnesota Timberwolves.
The mercurial shooting guard made the steal from Ricky Rubio just inside the Timberwolves’ three-point line with about 1.3 seconds remaining, then spun and launched from 50-plus feet.
The big play gave the Heat an eight-point halftime lead, providing them with the impetus to go on to a 96-84 win. Wade top-scored with 25 points.
It wasn’t quite his best, however – that title goes to his shot block on current teammate Amare Stoudemire and almost three-quarter court shot against the Suns, leaving none other than Andre Agassi in disbelief.
