It is not yet known in which cities the group stage, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will take place. The last World Championships were held in North America in 2016 in San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.
Change of plans
There were original plans to hold the World Championships in the United States this year. However, it decided to organize the tournament twice in a row in China to give riot games fans a real ‘global experience’. The previous championship in China was without spectators due to the epidemic.
However, it was announced last week that the match would be shifted from China to Europe as there are still many issues with the Covit-19.
They are still infected in the United States. Aside from the fact that the worlds have been relocated to China and Europe, an alternative live event has been canceled and plans for the finals have been rescheduled for a few years. These were supposed to have taken place in New Jersey last weekend, but it was canceled and moved to 2023.
Fans will have to wait a little longer for more information on Worlds 2022. It is not yet clear when China will have the opportunity to host a edition of the World Championships.
