While the American version of Farmer Wants Woman, ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ is set to premiere on Fox, KRO-NCRV is yet to comment on the new season.
“As soon as we can tell you something, we will definitely let you know,” says a spokesperson for NPO Victory. The dating show, which has aired in 30 countries since 2001, will return to the U.S. next season, Fox announced Thursday. The United Kingdom first launched a reality show in 2001. The Netherlands followed suit in 2004.
New spin
Four years later (2008) the first Farmers Want a Wife was already shown on American television. The format was canceled after one season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this time around, the American version will feature farmers who “live hundreds of miles away from their potential Tinder dates.”
Great success
Yvon Jaspers has already completed twelve seasons and almost 160 episodes of Boer Zoekt Vrouw. For NPO, the series has been one of their biggest hits and has attracted millions of viewers over the years. Despite these great successes, KRO-NCRV is still unable to confirm whether the new season of Boer Zoekt Vrouw is starting.
