Women are no longer allowed to appear in Afghan dramas and soap operas. The Taliban announced this in a list of religious guidelines to the media published on Sunday.
The guidelines come from the Ministry of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. Now female readers must wear a headscarf. Films that are not in line with “Afghan values” will no longer be tolerated. Men should wear appropriate clothing. He did not say exactly what that means.
