King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima received members of the diplomatic corps last night for their annual gala dinner at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. Maxima has made a very striking choice for this, by pulling off the ‘retro’ look.
Maxima in an iconic red prom dress
Our queen chose an elegant dress, which we previously saw in 2011 during a state visit to Qatar, in 2012 on Budget Day and in 2013 during Maxima’s first official photo shoot. The red dress comes from one of her favorite fashion houses: Nathan’s. It features a boat neck, long sleeves and a high side slit that reaches the floor. Just like on Budget Day 2012, the Queen paired the dress with a small red bag. She completed her look with a pair of red heeled sandals.
Máxima also added jewelry to her look, including a Peacock Tail Parure. The set consists of a crown, necklace and Bodice front.

Uniform ref Repeats
Queen Máxima was not the only one who supported this Repeat the outfit I went last night, because King Willem-Alexander also appeared in the same suit with white tie as in the state portrait in 2013. What can we learn from our royal family? It doesn’t matter how important you are or how much money you have, you can wear your “old” clothes again.
