Qualcomm will streamline its Snapdragon chips naming this year. The company’s chips will now have a single-digit product name, instead of the current three-digit system.

Currently, Snapdragon chipset product names consist of three digits, but in the future it will be reduced to a single digit and generation number, Qualcomm said. The company doesn’t provide exact examples of what it will call Snapdragon chips in the future, but the company is already doing something similar on some of its processors for PCs, such as Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2.
