PSV Eindhoven did not benefit greatly from Ajax’s loss of points. Eindhoven missed a 2-0 lead in Rotterdam. In the last ten minutes of the match, it was Cyril Desires who reduced the difference to 2-2. As a result, the City of Lights club appears to be able to forget the title.
Knowing that Ajax lost points at Arizona (2-2) earlier on Sunday, PSV Eindhoven began looking for a win over Feyenoord. The people from Eindhoven were able to lead by two points from the team from Amsterdam and thus breathe new life into the title fight, with two matches remaining.
Eindhoven started strong in Rotterdam. Where in recent years I had often begun to dread in De Kuip, there was nothing to notice now. PSV Eindhoven fared much better in the opening stage than visibly tired Feyenoord. Rotterdam played the semi-finals in and against Marseille earlier this week.
Cody Jackbo
Not the first time this season, it was Cody Gakbo who took his team by the hand. The captain scored after more than fifteen minutes on a pass from Joey Ferman. A well finished goal, but not as beautiful as the second PSV goal. A great mix between Mario Gotze and Eran Zahavi ended up with Gakpo again. The winger beautifully penned the ball over the goalkeeper. Great goal. 2-0 Eindhoven to Roed.
questionable punishment
After the break, Feyenoord looked awake and had several great goal-scoring opportunities through Cyriel Dessers. On the other hand, Zahavi forgot to close the race. The hosts were the better team and they had a lot of chances. Five minutes before the end it was still exciting in De Kuip. Snails head in a cross from Luis Sinestra.
And just when everyone thought Eindhoven was going to cross the line, things went wrong. Eindhoven receded greatly at the age of sixteen and threw a covering over his nose. In injury time, the ball went into place for Feyenoord. The penalty kick used by Desires was a gift to the Rotterdam team. The alleged handball by Mauro Jr. is not at all a penalty and therefore the moment will provide enough discussion. Earlier this year, PSV Eindhoven were in trouble over a ball that may or may not be out of the game against Ajax.
Adel: PSV blamed himself because he was still sexy. You can’t give up your 0-2 lead like Eindhoven, certainly not with those kinds of interests. The Eindhovens missed an excellent opportunity to make the title fight exciting. This is entirely up to the judge and themselves.
