Musical actor Martin Vogel, 31, suffered a cerebral infarction: “It’s as if a comet hit me” turns out
Martin Vogel had a stroke last week. The 31-year-old music actor was injured while walking his dog outside. Suddenly the world started revolving around me and I literally couldn’t stand on my feet. It was like a comet hit me and drove me away,” Vogel wrote on Instagram.
He was taken to a hospital where he was found to be “extremely dangerous” and a “rapid procedure” was needed.
I still had a hard time accepting the idea that my body was thinking of something different that day than I was, because I still had a few appointments. Going through this at this age feels crazy and lonely. That’s why I think it’s good to talk about it frankly, because there may be others who have tried this or (hope not) to try it.
Under these circumstances, Vogel is currently doing quite well, appearing in many theater productions over the years. “Today the world is still so big and so much, I’m fickle, quivering, having trouble with the letter L and regularly dreaming that I’m Britney Spears. But hey, there are worse things. At least I’m still alive.”
