Miley Cyrus and Elton John on special re-release of Metallica’s black album | show

Metallica comes with a special edition of the hit album black album, featuring covers of 53 artists. Elton John and Miley Cyrus, among others, offered their version of Metallica classics, but also bands like Weezer and Volbeat.

All proceeds will go to charity and will be divided between Metallica’s All In My Hands Foundation and charities selected by 53 artists. “In addition to raising money for charity, we want to show that Metallica’s music transcends genres, distances, and cultures. We like to believe that – with everyone else’s help – we did just that,” Metallica writes. “It was important to us that artists choose the song that they feel most connected to; it doesn’t matter if we already have multiple versions of a song. If an artist wants to cover that song, we’ll do it.”

black album It was released in 1991 by the American heavy metal band and is one of the most successful records of all time on the US charts.
