Microsoft has released an AI image generation tool

New web application Microsoft Designer Free to try as a Public Preview. Users just need to sign in to their Microsoft account to get started. According to the software company, the tool helps users “improve their creative workflow.”

Users can create images for social media posts, presentations, posters, and invitations by typing commands. Animations can also be created, such as animated backgrounds or texts with automatic transitions.

OpenAI technology

Microsoft Designer uses OpenAI’s Dall-E 2 AI image generator technology for this purpose. Microsoft has previously invested billions in OpenAI and is also using the company’s AI models in a Bing chatbot and a host of new AI features in Office.

Also descriptions and hashtags

Microsoft Designer can create descriptions and hashtags in addition to images. The app can also make it easy to adapt designs to different image formats of popular platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. More options will follow later, such as automatically creating images based on an object and automatically removing or adding backgrounds.

Microsoft actually announced the design app’s arrival at the end of last year. According to Microsoft CEO Brian Rognier, the AI ​​models used have been “steadily improving” in recent months. The tool will eventually be available through Microsoft 365.
