“Vegetarian food, more exercise and sleeping on time. That will become the basis of my new lifestyle. I am a hospital diet chef and in recent years I have become more involved in nutrition especially with the question: How is nutrition for our health? In 2017 I was eating vegan. For a while due to a skin problem: acne on my back. Within two months, my acne was completely gone. I also lost weight, but that was not my goal at the time.”
“This time I wanted to lose weight. I now have two beautiful boys and a family with young children totally busy with my work and taking care of the kids. At a certain point I felt like I was losing life and the pounds started slowly gaining ‘I don’t like gaining weight.'” I used to exercise, but now that my family is busy, I can’t. I just collapsed. “
“I wanted to change my lifestyle and decided to go on a vegan diet. It works like a charm. My wife and kids eat all kinds of things with it, but it’s no problem at home or out. For example, I was recently at a wedding, and then I ate Vegan. If that doesn’t work, I eat vegan. It’s always possible.”
“I’ve always eaten healthy food. For example, I haven’t eaten dairy for a long time and also have experience not eating meat, fish and eggs. So I had no problem switching to a plant-based lifestyle. Because I quickly felt lighter both physically and mentally.” I now have more energy. Animal food takes a lot of energy from you, because your organs need a lot of energy to process animal food. Now that I no longer eat animal food, I get in return an energy boost.”
No dairy, cut back on eggs and meat
“I’d go to the gym and have protein shakes, but that didn’t help at all. Now I’m doing exercises and running like I’ve been doing for years, it’s so easy for me.”
“Changing your whole life at once is of course difficult, I’ve been working for years to do it right. In the end, I took it step by step: first I rotated dairy, then a few eggs, a little meat and in the meantime, I read a lot about it.”
“What I have learned in recent years is that it becomes easier to modify your lifestyle if you know why you are doing something, rather than what you are doing. Why pure. For me this was a big difference. Why do you even do anything? If you don’t know it, nothing will change at all.”
“It was about wanting to feel better, and being able to handle the day really well with all the hustle and bustle of work and the kids. I really don’t want to go back to the bloated feeling I had after eating a plate of spare ribs, I feel so much better now.”
Enough difference
“I often have breakfast with soy yogurt and dried figs, seeds, and lots of fruit. At 10 o’clock I eat a couple of fruit, have lunch with a salad or a sandwich with avocado or a veggie spread like hummus and fruit. In the evening I eat regular meals, like Spaghetti but the vegetable version, or the vegetable and tofu roll. It takes a little research, and you have to find inspiration here and there. But if you know how to diversify enough and eat really tasty things.”
“I take vitamin B12, because you usually get it through meat and I put spirulina, the algae powder in my juices. The nice thing about plant-based food is that you can eat whatever you want, when you want. You don’t have to count calories, think anything or watch How often do you eat. Perfect.”
“In addition to plant-based foods, I promised myself to go to bed on time. I love to play, but playing with friends until midnight when you have to get up again at six, it didn’t help and only caused stress. Stress is disastrous for your body. I also started moving a bit more. I do some push-ups and some pull-ups every morning, just to feel. I notice how much improvement I have. And that’s how I go about the day so you don’t have to go to the gym six days a week, it’s not good.”
“One of my friends who is a fitness trainer, and my 50-year-old uncle, who does a lot of exercise, sent me pictures of what I look like now. I got back from both: ‘Wow, I want that too.’ They do a lot of exercise and still They have a belly.”
Immerse yourself in the world of vegetables
“My goal is to tell others how healthy your body would be if you switched to plant-based foods. I’ve dealt with acne on my back for 15 years, while being able to treat it with food rather than medication. Volunteer with PAN NETHERLANDSa group of physicians committed to healing through diet, such as rheumatism and arthritis, as well as fatigue and obesity.”
“I say: go deep into the world of vegetables and focus mainly on Whole Food PlantsIt is definitely enriching, both mentally and physically. Eat plenty of fruit and enjoy all the good things vegan cuisine has to offer as much as possible.”
