Jagadyan demands 34 seats for the VHP. It no longer wants to depend on alliance partners

VHP Vice President and faction leader in the National Assembly of Suriname (DNA), Asiskumar Jagadian, wants his party to no longer rely on coalition partners to make important decisions after May 25, 2025.

During the mass meeting attended by the party last Saturday in De Oliphant, Jagadian noted that the VHP has always had a culture of cooperation. But this has cost the Orange Party dearly over the past four years and damaged the party’s image.

“Despite their desire to cooperate with other political parties in the past four years, they have harmed us. Community, Suriname; This responsibility is in your hands now. If we rise up tomorrow and these 108,000 people join and add one vote, we can use those 220,000 votes to secure those 34 seats. “We are not dependent on anyone in this country and we can ensure this development,” the VHP leader said.

Jagadian stressed that based on the culture of the VHP, despite these 34 seats, it is possible to form a coalition with other parties. However, these partners should not bother VHP.

“Den Man La Musu is bothering Unu. Unu Musu are following their policy and that’s what we will do. Kundriman, Srananman, Kon Bondro and Sorgu Dati are 34 seats and can tyari a Development gi mama Sranan,” said Jagadian.
