HBO Max and Discovery+ streaming services will merge next year

Entertainment company Warner Bros. Discovery integrates the streaming services HBO Max and Discovery+. The merger is scheduled to take place in the United States next summer and will then be rolled out in other countries. In addition, Warner Bros. – just like its competitor Netflix – is considering a free version of the service with ads.

Prior to activating the integration, HBO Max will display Discovery+ content and vice versa. It remains unclear what the merger also means for HBO Max members who have a “lifetime discount” subscription.
