How was the level of hockey?
“The level is much lower than it was in the major league, but honestly, I thought it wasn’t that bad. What’s special is that they trained really hard. We often would train at 6 in the morning. She was very professional. Especially the first leg matches were a party. Then. We flew to California and slept in a luxury hotel. It felt like a little vacation. “

Then on March 20 it was all of a sudden …
“I woke up and received ten missed calls from my father. My mother had booked me a ticket to the Netherlands for the next day. President Trump announced the first travel restrictions. Hurry, I emptied my apartment and packed my hockey gear. I didn’t have time to say goodbye to my various coaches and colleagues.”
