Founder 2dehands.be invests millions in TicketSwap – Companies

TicketSwap, the Dutch online platform where consumers can resell event tickets, has raised €8.2 million from Million Monkeys. This is the Amsterdam investment company of the founder of 2dehands.be.

It is the first time TicketSwap has received funds from an outside investor. With the money, the platform wants to expand to other countries, such as Germany and Sweden, and improve the quality of service. The company also plans to open offices in France and the United Kingdom. TicketSwap is already active in Belgium.

In addition, the platform works on a smart lottery system, so that more people can compete for a popular entry ticket. TicketSwap also wants to expand the app with more information about artists and events.

Thanks to the investment, Million Monkeys now has a minority stake in TicketSwap. The company does not state the amount of interest.
