Just like her mother Princess Laurentian, Eloise also loves committing to sustainability and is doing so by writing a book.
Today Countess Eloise presented her book Enough Clothes. She wrote a children’s book – a picture book – for the series “Our World”. Eloise wrote her book about sustainable fashion, specifically about sustainable fashion Fast fashion. The Countess read from her book to Miss Maartje’s class at Gooise Dalton School in Hilversum. In collaboration with illustrator Noelle Smit, Eloise has entered into a collaboration with the Clean Clothes Campaign.
What is it Fast fashion? This relates to cheap, poor quality clothing. This also means that the clothes are produced in developing countries. The clothes are generally not worn for a long time, so in short, they are not durable.
The nice thing is that Eloise frankly says that she received help from her mother. They thought together, for example, about the title of the book.
Incidentally, a children’s book was also presented. This book is written by Jill de Winter. Sim’s book is about genuine concern for children and their sense of security, so that children can develop self-confidence. For Eloise, this is not the first book she has written. She previously wrote the book “Working with Learning.” The book was published more than two years ago.
The question remains: Where do Eloise’s clothes come from? It’s expensive designer clothes, right? Fast fashion Or is she wearing used clothes here? Secretly I would like to know ;). But the truth is that Eloise is committed to an important topic. Eloïse is becoming more and more famous and I think it’s great that she wants to attach her name to a topic that is thankfully becoming more and more important.
