RTV Drenthe wants to talk to Derksen about the future of the radio show
RTV Drenthe wants to talk to Johan Derksen short-term about the future of his daily radio show on the broadcaster.
Dirksen has been doing the show for several years now music for adults† Other broadcasters who broadcast the programme, such as Radio West, Raymond and NH Radio, decided yesterday to stop broadcasting the program immediately. The management of RTV Drenthe first wants to speak to Derksen themselves.
The Grolloo resident came under fire this week after he told the TV show Today Inside that he hacked into a drunk and unconscious woman with a candle in the 1970s. He himself said that he was ashamed of this, but the other people present at the table responded with laughter. Then a storm of criticism erupted. A day later, Dirksen detailed his statement and said there was no room for hacking.
Last night, according to the Talpa Network, those involved apologized, but that didn’t happen. Instead, Dirksen said to leave the TV show. Today Talpa had a chat with presenter Wilfred Genee and regular guest René van der Gijp. There it was categorically decided that they did not want to continue the program.
The Netherlands International Blues Festival will be held in Grolloo, which Dirksen is co-organizing, this year. This was announced by concert organizer Mojo. The turmoil surrounding Dirksen will not affect the event, which will be held in June. It is not yet clear what exactly his role is. According to MOJO, this is determined by the organization of the festival.
The tour will also run The Sound of The Blues & Americana starting Sunday, but without Dirksen. He was supposed to take on the role of the ringmaster there, but the theater agency AT Next immediately ended the collaboration with Derksen.
