Britt climbs the tallest skyscraper in London and surprises hotel guests

Paul Corvey, 52, who woke up Sunday morning with his wife on the 40th floor of The Shard, saw Lockwood climb his window at 6 a.m.

“He had the time of his life,” Corvy said. Watchman. “My wife thought I’d put up everything I could and the man had brought her a birthday present.”

Lockwood has performed similar acrobatics before, including climbing a crane in Dubai and a soccer stadium in Milan.

Shard has been climbed by others before. Nine years ago, for example, Greenpeace activists went upstairs to protest Shell’s oil drilling. There is, too Dutch one along.

Three arrests

The police were less comfortable with the British measure. Three men, including a 21-year-old, were arrested. They were encroaching on land and disturbing public order. Although police refused to confirm, it is believed to be Lockwood.

The Shard is the tallest building in London and has 72 floors. The “Shards of Glass Tower” houses a hotel, offices, and apartments, among other things.
