MSC Cruises today announced that it will be rolling out its latest flagship cruise for UK guests to enjoy safe summer sailing across the UK. The MSC Virtuosa will make its maiden voyage with guests on board from Southampton on May 20 as the first of a series of three and four mini-cruises overnight, before embarking on seven cruises from June 12 with three staging ports in England and Scotland.
All tours are for UK residents only and for guests of all ages who are waiting for a COVID-19 vaccine or have already been vaccinated. All guests are tested prior to boarding the aircraft and unvaccinated guests must also present evidence of negative test 72 hours prior to departure of the ship. Other pre-boarding and on-board measures also apply to both guests and crew, as per MSC Cruises’ industry-leading health and safety protocol.

The four-night mini cruises offer a cruise from Southampton and a final short vacation for couples or friends looking for a quick getaway. The ship will arrive at Portland Island in Dorset, which is part of the Jurassic Coast, where guests can go ashore to enjoy a great day at the beach. The itinerary also includes two days at sea, allowing guests to enjoy the amazing array of facilities MSC Virtuosa has to offer. Beginning June 12, vacationers will be able to join a seven-night sailing with stops in Portland and the cultural city of Belfast in Northern Ireland and multiple boarding ports, including Liverpool and Greenock, near Glasgow in Scotland.

MSC Cruises resumed operations in August 2020 following regulatory approvals across Europe for a health and safety protocol designed to protect the well-being of the guests, crew, and communities visited by the MSC Cruises ships visited.
