The solar eclipse was seen in many countries including the United States and Mexico. The US space agency NASA announced the solar eclipse via a live broadcast. At first there wasn’t much to see in that stream because it was cloudy over Oregon. The solar eclipse will be visible live only after one hour.
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, visitors had better luck. As the air was clear, tens of thousands of spectators were able to fully enjoy the natural phenomenon. The organization has distributed 80,000 pairs of safety glasses.
Ring of Fire
The eclipse coincided with a large hot air balloon festival in Albuquerque. The owners of the balloons also formed a ‘ring of fire’ with burners.
The most sunken path in the US was through states like California and Texas and across the Gulf of Mexico to Colombia and Brazil. Earth’s shadow is clearly visible in NASA’s animation.
Another solar eclipse will be visible in North and South America in April. It then starts in Mexico and moves in the opposite direction in the same areas. This eclipse will not be visible in our country like today’s eclipse.
