English theme park Thorpe Park will open a stunning rollercoaster at least 72 meters high next year. A new video simulation shows what we can expect from Project Exodus, as the Rollercoaster is called.
It is a high-speed roller coaster from the German manufacturer Mack Rides: the highest and fastest in the UK. Detailed concepts were already released at the end of 2021. There is now also a video, although the entire ride has not yet been shown.
The Exodus project features extreme elevation differences and dramatic elements such as long inversions and sweeping curves. Supplier Mack therefore follows roller coaster makers such as RMC and Intamin, who have been producing such designs for some time.
Stealth
Thorpe Park currently has seven different roller coasters, the last of which opened in 2012. That winged coaster was The Swarm. Another roller coaster in the park is currently the fastest in the country: the Stealth launch roller coaster, which has a top speed of 128 kilometers per hour.
Preliminary work on the Exodus project began months ago. The foundations are now clearly visible on the construction site. The attraction’s gold-colored supporting columns arrived recently.
