Mia Nicolai and Dionne Cooper may be out, which doesn’t mean the Eurovision Song Contest has to work without Dutch input. On Thursday night, it will be one half of the Dutchman in the semi-finals: Chris Justin (23) from Slovenian band Joker Out. “I showed my teams to the red light district.”

Justin’s mother comes from Essen, where Justin still lives with his family. The rest of the family lives in Amsterdam, Hejovard and Zaandam. I was born in Slovenia, but I grew up bilingual.

At the age of 24, his mother moved to Slovenia for love, where Justin was born on January 16, 2000. The Dutch mother constantly spoke to her son, who had a good command of the language, with the exception of a slight accent. “I usually speak to her in Slovenian, but her answers are in Dutch. Joker Out consists of five members of the band and will be released on Thursday evening in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest. In the room Justin’s parents were happy to make the trip. “We all look home every year, and every year my mum checks at what time the Dutch participant arrives, we’re really ready. I met Mia and Dion and spoke to them for a while. I thought it was a pity they didn’t sing in Dutch this year. The S10 did that last year, I thought it was It was a beautiful song.”

In Liverpool, Joker Out’s goal isn’t complicated: just get to the final. “I think we have a good chance of making it happen, what happens next? No idea.
