The American space company launched the so-called Starship from a base in the US state of Texas on its first space flight, which is an unmanned test flight of about 1.5 hours.
Earlier there were also problems with booting. The day before yesterday was the planned launch of the 120-meter Starship. This had to do with a problem with the first stage, which should ensure that the missile lifts off the ground.
First plans in 2017
According to Elon Musk, the valve may have been frozen at that time. About 10 minutes before the rocket was scheduled to take off, flight control decided to cancel the launch. Then the same countdown continued, until 40 seconds before launch time, as a kind of rehearsal.
Elon Musk’s company that developed the rocket has been working on the massive spaceship for years. Musk already presented plans for the rocket in 2017. The large rocket is 10 feet taller than the Saturn V, the rocket that took people to the moon and back between 1968 and 1972.
The newest rocket is twice the height of the space shuttle and nearly three times the height of the Soyuz rocket that carried Dutch astronaut Andre Kuipers into space.
