In Jerusalem, one person was killed this morning and at least 14 people were injured in two explosions at two bus stations. Police suspect it was a Palestinian attack.
One of the explosions occurred near a bus station on the outskirts of the city, where many commuters usually wait for buses. The second exploded at a bus stop in Ramot, a densely populated neighborhood in the north of the city.
12 people were killed in the first blast, one of whom eventually died in hospital. reports Times of Israel. Three people were wounded in the second attack. Local authorities say the explosives used may have been left in bags. The Israeli security forces are still searching for the suspects. It has not yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Tensions between Israel and the Palestinians have risen in recent months. The number of Palestinian attacks increased after months of Israeli raids on the occupied West Bank.
