In an Instagram video, Glennis offered her “sincere apologies” on Friday for the brawl that took place in an Amsterdam supermarket in early February. The singer said she acted out of “a mother’s instinct and affection, when she should have counted to ten.” “I would like to offer my sincerest apologies to everyone involved in this. Jumbo staff, the people I work with and everyone around me: I’m sorry.”

Except for a short statement, in which they said that they found it ‘disturbing to all concerned’, it was calm around the Soul Ladies for a long time. But their fellow singer’s apology appears to have moved the ball. Candy Dolfer, Birgit Lewis and Edsilia Rumbley said on Instagram that the group “has been conservative in communicating out of respect for all involved”.
It is not yet clear if Glennis will appear in September during the group’s Ziggo Dome concerts. “It is a very unfortunate set of circumstances that should never have happened. Justice is conducting a thorough investigation and we are counting on that. It may take some time before the investigation is complete. Our concerts are scheduled for September 23 and 24 and will continue. Glennis has been a valued member of the Soul ladies from day one and hopefully you will be there by then.”
