Hockey player clotheslined with own stick

Being a teenager is awkward enough without having embarrassing video footage of yourself plastered all over the internet – but this is too good not to share.

Junior ice hockey player Mitchell Skiba, a defenseman for the Apena Flyers in Michigan, was ejected from a recent game. But to compound his woes, he had more than a little trouble getting off the rink.

Getting his stick caught in the gate, Skiba clotheslined himself with it and hit the deck, before scurrying away and leaving his stick on the ice.

Chin up, Mitch … just make sure you keep it out of the way of your stick next time.
