Oliver Bozanic’s sweet Swiss strike

Not to be outdone by fellow Socceroos midfielder James Troisi, Oliver Bozanic has reminded Australian football fans of his ability with a top-shelf strike for Swiss Super League side FC Luzern.

The former Central Coast Mariners man flashed a scorching drive into the bottom corner against BSC Young Boys, but it wasn’t enough for Luzern to rescue the eventual 2-1 loss.

Bozanic has celebrated some good news this week despite his side sitting last in Switzerland, winning a call-up to the Socceroos’ initial 46-man squad for January’s Asian Cup.

The goal is Bozanic’s first of the new season following two appearances at the World Cup, where he famously won the penalty which put Australia ahead against Holland.
