Longtime Viking and former MVP Adrian Peterson is finally joining a team, coming to terms with the New Orleans Saints.

AP’s new deal is way smaller than his original asking price, settling on 2 years and $7 million. AP had originally asked for over $10 million.
Adrian Peterson in a Saints Uniform 👀

The fit is surprising, with the Saints running on just 38% of plays in 2016.
Adrian Peterson 2007-13: 3.2 yards per carry AFTER contact, over 2k+ carries. Adrian Peterson 2014-> 2.2 yards per carry after contact.

The addition of AP is likely to change this however, but team officials say that Peterson will start as the backup to Marc Ingram.

It’s a surprising move, but for that cheap of a deal, whatever the Saints get out of Peterson is just an added bonus.
