Warriors clinch first NBA championship in 40 years

The Golden State Warriors have closed out the NBA Finals with a 105-97 victory in Game 6 over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Their first victory since 1975 came on the back of Andre Iguodala’s endearing NBA Finals MVP performance.

Andre closed out there series with an impressive 25 points (9-of-20 FG), 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

Without the veteran’s Game 6 performance, his new MVP award might have gone to LeBron James.

James has been a monster – you would be a brave man to fault his Finals series.

LBJ heavy output consisted of 32 points (13-of-33 FGs) 18 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals.

Despite his 2-6 NBA Finals record, James’ Finals series will go down in history as one of the greatest ever.

Congratulations to the Warriors, an amazing season capped off by a well-deserved championship.
