Pat Riley is the don of the NBA. Easily one of the best GMs of all time, Riley has made his career in the front office and on the sideline bringing in star pieces and working them into contenders. And while in Miami, Riley has coached some of the best players the NBA has had to offer.

That’s why it’s raised some eyebrows this week when Riley said that it was Shaquille O’Neal who was the biggest acquisition in Miami Heat history. Which would have been fine, if not for Riley leaving out Dwyane Wade, who suddenly departed in the offseason, or LeBron James and Chris Bosh from the ‘Big Three’ era.

This comes off as unbelievably petty from Riley, and it will be interesting to see how Heat legends D-Wade and LBJ react to the comments by their former boss.
