Flashback Friday travels back 21 years to remember the greatest comeback in NBA history, when the Utah Jazz overhauled a 36-point deficit to defeat the Denver Nuggets 107-103 in 1996.
The heavyweight Jazz were stunned to be trailing the lowly Nuggets 70-36 at halftime, and fell another two points further adrift soon afterwards. But the eventual finalists clicked into gear and had reduced the deficit to just 13 by the end of the third quarter.
Utah out-scored the Nuggets 35-18 in the final quarter to run out four-point winners. Karl Malone (31 points) and Jeff Hornacek (29 points) led the fight-back, while fellow Jazz legend John Stockton chipped in with his customary 10 assists and four steals.
A historic night for the NBA and a cherished memory for all Utah Jazz fans.
