Through the Queens Football League (QFL), Zwolle Blue Jays enters into a partnership in European competition with the American women’s soccer organization, the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA).

Possible more for Dutch women football

Women of Zwolle American Football are collaborating with the WFA to give women more opportunities in the sport. Over the past decades, this American partner has grown into a platform where women can eventually fulfill their dream of playing professional American football.

With WFA as a partner, players from Dutch QFL can play in America. They may then be able to start a professional career there, as is already possible for footballers and tennis players.

In addition, many international doors are opening as a result of cooperation with WFA. QFL members can participate in matches in the United States, as well as in countries such as Mexico and Costa Rica, where American football is very popular.

Kanisa Molone’s mission

Entrepreneur Kanisa Molone is the founder of the NFL and her mission is to get women to play American football in every major Dutch city. Over the past five years, I have built an organization that now includes six Dutch American football teams and more than 150 members.

Kanisa Molone wants this partnership to break barriers for girls and women to join the NFL. “This ensures that they can play anywhere in the world.”

In addition to being the QFL Manager, Muluneh is also the one who ensures that players can find suitable sportswear in all sizes. It inspired her to launch a body positivity campaign earlier this year, starring some American football players. She wanted to show that plus-size women also enjoy sports.
