Firaxis Games, creator of XCOM, showed the first gameplay footage of Marvel’s Midnight Suns on Wednesday. This tactical RPG will include a turn-based card battle system. The game will be released in March 2022 for PC and consoles.
Among other things, Firaxis Games will detail the turn-based gameplay of Marvel’s Midnight Suns during demonstration Six minutes in the game site IGN. Players design their own Marvel character, which is called The Hunter. This is used in the fight against Lilith. In addition, players can complete their team with different characters from Marvel, for example from The Avengers or X-Men. The game also takes place in well-known locations from the Marvel universe, such as the Avengers headquarters.
The game is all about turn-based combat, just like XCOM. Players can choose a team of up to three Marvel heroes for a mission. In Marvel’s Midnight Suns, players get a number per turn capacityDealing cards. Each Marvel hero has his own set of unique cards, although players receive a random set of these cards in each turn. Players can also use the environment, for example by shooting enemies at explosives, in order to earn more Impact area– Deal damage.
Outside of combat, players can explore their base as The Hunter and strengthen their bond with other Marvel heroes. Current picks include Iron Man, Wolverine, Dr. Stranger and Captain America. Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be released on March 22, 2022 for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
