Toto Wolff and Christian Horner are very pleased with the Miami Grand Prix. The organizers promised a real party before the weekend, and the two chairmen thought Miami did a great job. Wolff gives this weekend’s US Grand Prix a very high score.
Over 240,000 people attended the race weekend in Miami. Moreover, there were many celebrities around the ring. “It was a great event,” says Wolff in Racing lovers† I’ve never attended an event that created so much atmosphere. We could barely walk in the field because there were so many people, but that’s okay. I think we should be happy with that much support.
The layout of Miami International Square has received some criticism. Wolf does not agree with these criticisms. “You can say whatever you want, but Miami did a really good job. We had two nice DRSs and a really tough part in Turn 17. The braking was really hard there. If you go off the race line, you could lose some positions. Some drivers might not find it optimal. “I give this event a nine,” said the Mercedes team principal.
Horner joins Wolf’s words
Horner, the Red Bull Racing team boss, agrees with his colleague. We have been wonderfully received here. We can clearly see the emotion in each person. Interest in Formula 1 is very high at the moment. Americans have shown that they know how to hold an event. The Miami Grand Prix ended well for Red Bull. “The race at the end was good enough to keep the tension out,” Horner concluded.
