WhatsApp adds this useful feature on iPhone and Android

WhatsApp now gives you the option to set people and groups as favorites. This way you can find these chat conversations faster. After the early users of the Android version, this new option is now also available for iPhone users in WhatsApp.

WhatsApp introduced the new Favorites functionality in the Chats tab to its beta version on Android about two weeks ago. The Favorites filter gives you faster access to conversations with the people and groups that matter most to you. And with WhatsApp’s latest iOS update, early iPhone users can also use this new option.

WhatsApp is yet to mention the Favorites feature in its official changelog on the Apple App Store, however According to the WABetaInfo website The option is already available to the first group of iPhone users.

Filters at the top of your chats

At the top of the list of chat conversations, next to the Unread and Groups filters, you’ll find the new Favorites button. When you click on it the first time, you will be given the option to add your favorites.

If you haven’t seen this new feature yet, that’s right, because it will be rolling out to more users in the coming weeks.

Status updates

Last week, it emerged that WhatsApp is also testing another change: displaying status updates in non-chronological order. Status updates from people you interact with are often ranked higher than the rest, as are updates from contacts whose conversations you’ve pinned. Updates that are about to disappear are also given a higher position, so you can still view them.
