in High North Follows the year-long debts of six families who choose the icy north. One family has been living there for a while, while the other family is about to move out. Why do they dream of living in the extreme arctic climate of northern Norway? And what does it mean to live self-sufficiently in the Swedish wilderness?
In the first episode, Dion meets boat builders Cornelis and Patricia and sheep breeders Rob and Astrid in Norway. In the forests of Sweden she visits Martijn, Anne and their son, Espen. She also meets the Ellerbrak family, shedding necessary tears at the beginning of their adventure in Sweden.
Viewers were impressed by the beautiful Scandinavia and the brave choice of families. It looks cool if you dare to do it. And: “A great program, especially to see how people make their dreams come true! Travel programs are always fun.
Unfortunately, Dion gets less praise. In fact, some viewers would rather see Floortje Dessing present this programme. Couldn’t they have just sent Floortje in place of this town of Dionne? Then the program will come across a lot of sympathy and believability,” the viewer pens. Omroep’s latest thread describes MAX: “What Floortje can do, Stax can do too.” Better a good steal than a bad one. That failed…”
