We are always proud when our partners spread their wings and explore new places. This is a big step for Tripa as the Belgian family business moves to the US. Their new showroom in Los Angeles, which opened with festivities in September, has undeniably put themselves more clearly on the international map. So it goes without saying that we want to know more about their latest whereabouts.
It might surprise you, but the opening in Malibu also marks the first permanent store focused exclusively on the Trip range. With an area of 500 square meters, the building can be considered a flagship store. The choice of location was random. CEO Koen De Cock has had a deep appreciation for the coastal city for some time and has found it a valuable inspiration on many occasions. Long beach walks, wide array of colors and pleasant climate throughout the year are some of the attractions of this place. So it’s only fitting that their showroom changes that scenario and does full justice to high-end furniture designs. Creative director Marc Merks provided the design concept and first drawings. By choosing neutral tones and consistently highlighting the brand’s timelessness, the result is a faithful reflection of their ethos. At the same time, the mid-century style for which the region is known is clearly drawn. Many homes in Los Angeles are inextricably linked with a high level of interaction between the inside and the outside. You can enjoy warm temperatures throughout the year and live in a rhythm of appreciating and consciously enjoying the beauty of everyday life. This focus on intentional living is perfectly synchronized with the casual luxury that the furniture brand stands for.
This first US flagship store by Tribù offers a total experience
As a flagship store, this American branch of Tribù offers a total experience. In terms of materials, this translates into selection for natural systems. Traditional plasterwork, oiled bronze detailing and jute ceiling coverings are some examples. The overall design of the building enhances the appearance of the design pieces. While the sought-after atmosphere is distinctly West Coast, the showroom proudly displays the Belgian craftsmanship that permeates both the furniture range and the details of the design. Not only this milestone, the fire has sunk its teeth into, because there is more news on the agenda. For example, a flagship showroom in Milan is set to open in April 2024, ahead of the annual Salone del Mobile. Additionally, great efforts are being made to provide a smooth flow in the United States. Efficient transportation, limited delivery times and a strategically located delivery point in Dallas, Texas are essential. Even after their decades of experience, continuous growth is still a strong ambition at Tribu. We wish our partner all the luck as they continue to leave their mark in America and everywhere else.
