If you're on TikTok, you've definitely seen the news. Members of the US House of Representatives have voted in favor of a bill that would ensure TikTok is banned in the country.

The ban is because Americans fear that the Chinese government will get a lot of data through the site. The motion received 352 votes in favor and 62 against, but this still does not mean a definitive ban. TikTok's Chinese parent, ByteDance, is currently under pressure to sell the app, but it's unclear whether that will happen.

Many people in America are worried about this. But people in other parts of the world are also curious about its effects. Because what does this mean for TikTok in the Netherlands? Will there be a ban on the platform here too? Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case yet, but we can't predict what will happen in the future.
