Mette-Marit suffers from a type of pulmonary fibrosis, a chronic lung disease that prevents her from performing all her official duties. So she also has to miss this fun event with her neighbors in Sweden. The sick leave will reportedly last for two weeks, meaning she will also have to cancel visits scheduled for next week.

Prince Haakon does not have to go to Sweden alone

As far as we know, Crown Prince Haakon is traveling to Sweden without his wife. He is not alone, because he is accompanied by his parents, King Harald and Queen Sonja. It is not known whether his daughter, Ingrid Alexandra, will take her mother’s place at dinner.
