Reports about the discovery of a mass grave at Buzova, near Kyiv, appear to be based on a misunderstanding. Early this morning Reuters and DPA news agencies reported that a mass grave had been discovered at a gas station. The mayor of Buzova, Taras Dedic, immediately tells NOS reporters that this is not the case; It could have been misunderstood.
The bodies of two people in civilian clothes were found in a well behind a destroyed gas station. The mayor said they were members of the regional defense. It is not clear how they died. At least ten people were killed in the village. Before further research, the area will be cleared of mines.
The Russians occupied half of Buzova and the other half was still in the hands of Ukraine. There was heavy fighting. Reporters immediately saw two tanks torn apart and homes and apartment buildings destroyed.
The Ukrainian army regained control of the place.
