It appears that the Lockbit ransomware criminal gang is back in action. A week ago, international security services seized the Lockbit website, but now a new website for the gang is active on the dark web.
“The FBI does not intimidate or stop me,” the anonymous leader of Lockbit wrote.
With Lockbit disabled last week, it looked like the gang had been caught. Apparently this is not the case. The criminals wrote on the new website that they had introduced new victims Sleeping computer.
Lockbit wrote that the FBI was able to hack the website because the server was not updated in a timely manner. “Because I've been swimming in money for five years, I've become lazy,” the gang leader wrote in a long message on the dark web. It is still unknown who the leader of Lockbit is. The FBI has $10 million available for a golden tip that leads to the identity of the criminal hacker.
