The Queen wore a brooch in honor of her husband, Prince Philip, 99, who is in hospital and presented her as a wedding gift. Philip is her big love and she is so worried now because he has been in the hospital for some time with a serious infection and heart complaints. The Queen was given a so-called chrysanthemum brooch, made of rubies, diamonds and platinum, in 1947 during a honeymoon in Hampshire with her husband. Philip was first hospitalized on February 16th because he had contracted an infection. At first Buckingham Palace claimed that this would be a “precaution,” but it turned out later that the situation was more dire. He was transferred to another hospital, St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, to undergo heart surgery. In the meantime, things will get a lot better for the Prince, who will turn a hundred years old in June.
