The American relay team is not disqualified, the Netherlands sign a protest

The Dutch mixed relay team qualified for the finals on Friday in the 4x400m. The athletes surprised a strong time and did not have to account for the United States in the final. They were disqualified for misaligning the bat on the athletic track.

But on Saturday, the American relay team was not abruptly disqualified and they could participate in the final ‘idle’. The Netherlands disagreed and filed a protest, according to the Athletics Association. There is no reason on the part of the organization as to why the disqualification was withdrawn.

After the race is over, the arbitral tribunal will only decide the opposition, so the United States starts anyway. If the Netherlands are on the right, the US team will be eliminated from the finals.
