Spotify has begun an experiment in the United States by selling concert tickets. The streaming service has quietly created a website where tickets for a handful of shows can currently be purchased.
A spokesperson for the Swedish company told tech news site TechCrunch, the Swedish company can’t say much about testing at the moment, except that it regularly tries new products and ideas. So it is not clear if the sale will later be tested also in other countries.
This news comes shortly after Ticketmaster in the US announced a partnership with TikTok. Users will soon be able to purchase concert tickets directly via the popular social media app.
