South Korea’s military leadership said North Korea fired two more cruise missiles. The missiles landed in the waters east of the North Korean coast. The Japanese media also write, based on government sources, about the launch of “several North Korean cruise missiles.”
The launches appear to have been in response to the arrival of a second US nuclear submarine in South Korea. After the first submarine arrived last week, the regime in Pyongyang launched its first series of cruise missiles. This is the first time since the 1980s that a US submarine carrying nuclear missiles has docked in South Korea.
