Lucky Bird wins 220 million euros, the largest prize in the history of the European lottery | Abroad
A lucky man from France won the grand prize of Euromillions of no less than 220 million euros. It is the biggest jackpot in the history of the European lottery.
The winner or unknown winner has 60 days to submit a report to the French lottery company “Française des Jeux” (FDJ).
Participants must mark letters and numbers on their form. The computer determines the winning combination twice a week.
The winning number combination was 21, 26, 31, 34 and 49 with stars 2 and 5. Last week the superjackpot didn’t fall. That’s why there was a rematch.
Superjackpot
The previous superball was won on February 26 in Switzerland. The grand prize amounted to 210 million euros. In France, the last record goes back to December 2020. Then a player from the south of France won 200 million euros.
EuroMillions has been around since 2004. There are nine countries that participate in the European Lottery Draw. In addition to Switzerland, there are Belgium, France, Spain, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Portugal, Ireland and Austria.
The lottery is not active in the Netherlands.
