KRC Genk U15 are ready for an adventure in the Generation Cup in America

The young talents of KRC Genk U15 are ahead of an exciting adventure. Tomorrow the Genk delegation will travel from Amsterdam to sunny Orlando, USA, where they will take part in the prestigious Generation Cup. Not just football but a competition with international experience and development. KRC Genk finished third in this prestigious competition last season.

The first match of the tournament will be a thrilling game of football. In their first group match, our boys face the Philadelphia Union. But it didn't stop. Meetings with Inter Miami and FC Dallas are also scheduled in the group stage.

International appeal

An added feature of the Generation Cup is the participation of several major European clubs. Apart from KRC Genk, Manchester United, Arsenal, Valencia and Sporting Lisbon will also send their young talents. A great opportunity for our U15's to compete against their peers from some of the biggest clubs in the world.

An educational experience

Koen Daerden, technical director of the Jos Vaessen Talent Academy, emphasizes the importance of these types of international competitions. “These tournaments give us an opportunity to compete against teams from other continents and other tournaments. It's a good learning opportunity for our players at this stage of their development,” Darden said.
