Kang Daniel

Kang Daniel achieved his breakthrough by participating in the second season of the South Korean talent show Produce 101. In it, he took first place and thus took the central position in the K-pop group Wanna One. That group has a temporary contract. When that was over, Kang Daniel threw himself into his solo career.

Shortly after breaking up with Wanna One, he signed a contract with LM Entertainment. But two months later, he took that agency to court because they signed exclusive contracts on his behalf behind his back. Kang won the lawsuit and not much later established his own agency, KONNECT Entertainment. To date, Kang Daniel is the CEO of that agency, which now also includes advisor producer and solo artists Yuju and CL (co-managed).

Kang Daniel made his solo debut under his own agency in 2019 with the EP ‘Color on Me’. Later, printer ink colors “cyan”, “magenta”, and “yellow” followed. The three EPs form a triptych as Kang Daniel searches for his own color.
