Sivan Hasan ran twice on the opening day of the IAAF World Championships in Budapest. The 30-year-old athlete runs the 1,500m series in the afternoon (1pm) and the 10,000m final in the evening (8:55pm). She is the reigning Olympic champion in the last distance and became the world champion in 2019.
Hassan is a medal contender, but that also applies to the Dutch relay team in the mixed 4x400m. This song is the last piece of the day (9:49 p.m.). Presumably, the winners will be drafted, Fimik Ball and Lakey Claver, if the team qualifies for the final across the series in the morning (11:00).
Anouk Vetter, Emma Ostrogel and Sophie Docter complete the first four segments of the heptathlon. Vetter, a silver medalist at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 World Championships in Athletics in Eugene (USA), is also among the medal favorites in Budapest, but the front-runner for gold is American Anna Hall. Belgian defender Nafissatu Thiam has disappeared due to injury.
Hammer thrower Denzel Cominentia, long-distance runner Pauline Hundema, sprinter Rafael Pogo (100 metres), middle-distance runner Nils Larousse (1,500 metres) and long-distance specialist Diane van S (10,000 metres) will also appear.
